U.S. company Palantir Technologies has developed the PRISMA platform, which integrates flight paths and artificial intelligence-based analytics into a single operational picture in real time. This was reported in a CNN segment.
The broadcaster demonstrated how Ukrainian forces use the PRISMA platform to plan long-range strikes against strategic targets inside Russia. In 2022, Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and by 2026 the cooperation had expanded to include communication with the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Defense Research Institute.
In May 2026, Zelenskyy received Karp in Kyiv, while Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov outlined the scope of work involving enemy targets — from detecting and intercepting Shahed drones to accelerating command systems and combat data analysis. Just weeks later, CNN showed how these systems operate deep inside Russia. According to the report, the PRISMA system enables Ukrainian personnel to manage multiple targets simultaneously within a single operation.
In the footage, a serviceman with the call sign “Vector” was shown planning an operation. From the command post, operators can monitor live maps, flight trajectories, and data processed by AI algorithms across multiple screens simultaneously. PRISMA tracks interception points, radar coverage zones, air defense activity, and the flight routes of previous drone waves.
The system identifies gaps in enemy air defenses and seeks routes through them. It is also highly resilient, as it is decentralized and can continue operating even if command nodes are disabled. Rather than relying on a single center, the system uses dozens of locations from which operators work against Russian drones.
The software analyzes interception points from previous UAV waves, radar coverage areas, air defense fire density, and the locations of anti-aircraft systems. This information is then used to support strikes against Russian military facilities.
Palantir and Ukraine maintain close cooperation. In May 2026, Zelenskyy met with Karp, whom he described as one of the most influential U.S. contractors. According to the Ukrainian president, the discussion covered both military operations and civilian needs.
Palantir stated that the use of its software on the battlefield in Ukraine since 2022 has helped defend the courageous people of Ukraine against Russian aggression, and that this experience will shape how the West conducts warfare and achieves victory for decades to come.
